Recently, the Cochrane research centre studied the effect of prophylactic flu vaccines. It concludes that despite being vaccinated, 75% still contract the flu or flu-like symptoms - the vaccine, therefore, must be said to offer poor security.
Besides formalin, the flu vaccine contains a small but alarming amount of mercury under the name of Thiomersal. Knowing what kind of dreadful nervous toxin mercury is, it is highly peculiar that it is still present in flu vaccines. Mercury has been removed from children's vaccines and from hepatitis vaccines, and it should be noted that some doctors offer flu vaccines without Thiomersal.
Luckily, there are better and less risky ways of reducing the risk of cathing flu.
Good hand hygiene
First and foremost, a good hand hygiene is very beneficial. Hands that have touched public banisters or handles or that have exchanged hand shakes are a common source of infection. Therefore, be careful about touching your mouth or rubbing your eyes - you never know what your hands have been into contact with - and wash your hands regularly and always as the first thing after having been out.
Regular hand soap and water are actually capable of removing flu vira and a long list of other pathogenic microorganisms from your hands. Therefore, there is no need for special disinfectants.
Immune defence
Of course, our immune defence is of great importance when it comes to protection against flu vira, and all measures that benefit our health and strengthen our immune defence will, either directly or indirectly, protect us from being infected with the flu.
The three "S"es
It is impossible to completely avoid coming into contact with microorganisms such as vira and bacteria and neither would it benefit our health to completely avoid them. However, we can do a lot ourselves in order to strengthen our general immunity. In this context, there are three significant "S"es which are decisive to our immunity: Stress, sugar, and sleep. The first two should be limited to a minimum whereas the last one can cause problems if we do not get enough of it. A good night's sleep is vital and if you get too little sleep (<6 hours) your immune defence will be negatively affected.
We also recommend taking a daily dietary supplement.
- Multivitamin-minerals: 2 - 4 tablets of VitaXtra a day or 4 tablets of VitaMax a day to be distributed at 2 - 3 chief meals.
- Omega 3 fatty acids: E.g. DEPA. Take 3 capsules a day. Vegetarians can replace fish oil with flaxseed oil (3 tbsp. a day).
- Extra vitamin C: 500 - 1000 mg. both morning and evening.
The additional bonus of such prevention is that these supplements also prevent a number of other disabilities.
