Acne vulgaris - Pimples

An overproduction of sebum which plugs the pores of the skin. An accompanying bacterial infection stimulates inflammation. The disease can be worsened by hormonal factors, but a poor diet and hereditary factors also play a role.

Do not use doses above 5,000 I.U. of vitamin A if you are pregnant.
In some cases, a worsening of acne has been observed in connection with a supplement of B12 and iodine and large supplements of vitamin B6.
