Acne vulgaris - Pimples

An overproduction of sebum which plugs the pores of the skin. An accompanying bacterial infection stimulates inflammation. The disease can be worsened by hormonal factors, but a poor diet and hereditary factors also play a role.

  • Allergy

    Various kinds of allergic reactions following contact with usually harmless substances in the surroundings. The apparent cause of allergic reactions is a wrongly encoded immune system leading to so-called hypersensitivity.

  • Food intolerance

    Various symptoms following ingestion of particular foodstuffs. Unlike food allergy, food intolerance cannot be established through ordinary allergy tests. The symptoms cover a wide range and are often delayed.

  • Pregnancy, problems of

    Besides bringing happiness, pregnancy can result in small or larger physical problems, such as anaemia, nausea, stretch marks, back pain, indigestion, hair loss, haemorrhoids, loosening of the pelvis, urological problems, oedemas, etc.

  • Hormonal disturbances

    Too large or too small amounts of hormones can cause damage to our body. Hormonal disturbances are involved in diabetes and several other metabolic diseases, osteoporosis, and hormonal disturbances during menopause.

  • Menstrual problems

    Problems with the monthly bleeding of fertile women. They can be caused by the pre-menstrual syndrome. The menstruations can be weak, absent, too early, too strong, or prolonged, and irregular menstruation and especially menstrual pains can also occur.

  • Stress

    An often present - but often ignored - cause or contributory cause for disease development. All threatening situations, all overwhelming burdens of work and challenges release health-damaging stress hormones.
