Calamus - Acorus calamus

A plant used externally as a remedy against lice, by rubbing a calamus-solution on the skin.

Calcium (Ca)

Caprylic acid

Also known as octane acid. A saturated fatty acid found in coconut - and milk fat. As a supplement, it is used in the treatment of fungal infection.

Carnitine - Acetyl L-Carnitine

An amino acid. Regulates the catabolization of fat in the body. Effective for muscle weakness and circulatory disturbances.

Celery complex - Apium Complex

Herbal mixture, used for inflammatory diseases, flushes, immune reactions caused by rheumatism, generalized rheumatism, or diffuse muscular pains. Can be used as an analgesic or to increase the blood flow and excrete waste products from the circulation.

Cetyl Myristoleate

A fatty acid extracted from suet. It is an antioxidant and is effective against autoimmune diseases such as lupus, sclerosis, rheumatism, and psoriasis.

Chamomile - Chamomilla recutita

Relaxing and soothing herb with anti-spastic, healing - especially gastro-intestinal -, and digestive effects. Reduces intestinal gas production. Has an anti-allergenic effect and can be used in the treatment of asthma, hay fever, and food allergies.

Chaste berry - Vitex agnus-castus

Used for regulating hormonal imbalance, for absence of -, painful -, or heavy menstruation, and in correction of extremely short or long cycles, PMS and endometriosis. Also effective against migraine, acne, and related conditions, and breast tension.

Chickweed, common - Stellaria media

Chilli pepper - Capsicum

Chromium - Chrome (Cr)

A vital trace mineral. Responsible for the proper catabolization of proteins, fatty acids, and carbohydrates in particular. May relieve hypersensitivity. Necessary for sperm production and embryogenesis.

Chrysin

Belongs to the group of flavonoids. Chrysin is a powerful antioxidant with vitamin-like effects. It is used for increasing the testosterone level of the body and at the same time, the oestrogen level is reduced.

Cinchona bark - Chincona officinalis

Natural remedy used in classic malaria treatment. Used in the treatment of fevers, liver conditions, loss of appetite, and spasms.

Cinnamon - Cinnamomum verum

The bark of cinnamon is used against bacterial and fungal infections, digestive problems, the common cold, and the flu. Has a calming, pain-relieving, heat producing, and anti-viral effect. Assists digestion and has antispasmodic effects.

Fatty acid with a special distribution of single- and double bonds. The supplement is used in diets to reduce the body's percentage of fat without also reducing its muscle mass.

Clove - Eugenia caryophyllata

Used against cholera, cough, cramps, digestional problems, malaria, parasites, pimples, scabies, toothache, tuberculosis, wounds, and soreness of the skin. Is antiseptic, facilitates digestion and has pain-relieving and anti-viral effect.

Cocoa – Theobroma cacao

Cocoa is used mostly for chocolate. Cocoa comes from the fruit of the cocoa tree, each of which contains about 40 seeds called cocoa beans. Cocoa also has a number of therapeutic effects on, among others, cardiovascular problems

Coconut oil - Cocos oleum

Consists of 90% saturated fatty acids. Very resistant to heat. Is used both externally as a massage oil, in cooking on account of the taste, and against various health problems.

Cod-liver oil

An extract of cod or halibut. Contains Omega 3 fish oil, vitamin A, and vitamin D.

Cohosh, black - Cimicifuga racemosa

Also called Black Snakeroot and Birthwort. The herb is good for abdominal- and menstrual pains, spasms, inflammation, dryness of mucous membranes, absence of menstruation and menopausal problems, hot flushes, fibroma, rheumatism, and high blood pressure.

Coleus - Coleus forskohlii

Both the leaves and root of several species can be applied in- and externally. The herb is frequently applied in Indian popular medicine as a blood pressure lowering circulatory drug and as a drug against bronchial asthma, glaucoma, and heart failure.

Coleus forskohlii complex - Coleus complex

Herbal mixture effective against psoriasis. It is anti-allergenic and induces dermal blood flow. Important to the normal maintenance of skin. Blood purifying, cholagogic, and effective against enteritis (intestinal catarrh).

Coltsfoot - Tussilago farfara

Comfrey, common - Symphytum officinale

Also called Blackwort, Knitbone, or Slippery Root. Has been known since antiquity as a wound-healing remedy. It also has anti-inflammatory abilities. Today, it is mostly used in preparations for external use.

Common Cramp bark - Viburnum Complex

Herbal mixture. Anti-spasmodic and therefore effective against epilepsy, abdominal cramps, and menstrual pains. Regulates the hormone system by adjusting the oestrogen level.

Cone Flower, Purple complex - Echinacea Complex

Herbal mixture used for inflammations, smaller infections, several bacteria, and fungi.

Copper (Cu)

An important mineral and constituent of the enzymes and antibodies of the body. Deficiency may lead to skin diseases and hair loss, increased susceptibility towards infection and metabolic disorders. Overdosing may result in poisoning.

Cornsilk - Zea Mays - Stigmata maidis

The fine, silky hair on the corn cob. Is beneficial to kidneys, bladder, and the small intestine. Also used for oedema, suffering in the urinary system, and bedwetting. Good for painful urination caused by enlargement of the prostate.

Cramp bark - Viburnum opulus/-prunifolium

Also known as European cranberry bush or Guelder-rose. Soothes and relaxes the muscles, and has anti-spastic- and nerve stimulating effect. Is also used for relieving symptoms of rheumatism, menstrual pains, hypertension, and other circulatory conditions.

Cranberry - Vaccinum macrocarpon

Used in the treatment of cystitis, urinary infections, gastric ulcers, and kidney stones. Prevents bacteria from sticking to the mucosa. Has diuretic and antibacterial effect and loosens kidney stones. Is also used against candida infections.

Crataeva - Crataeva nurvala

Used against enlargement of the prostate and incontinence. Also effective against kidney stones, inflammation of the bladder, and irritation of the mucous membranes of the bladder.

Creosote bush - Chaparral - Larrea tridentata

Effective against rheumatism and leg cramps. Relieves pain, purifies the blood, and counteracts the formation of tumours and cancer cells. Improves the function of the kidney, lungs, and liver. Effective against sunburn, acne, and radiation injuries.

Cumin - Carum carvi

Used for intestinal colic and intestinal gas.Also used in the treatment of asthma and shortness of breath. Has diuretic effects and increases lactation (the production of breast milk). As a tea, cumin stimulates the appetite and strengthens the stomach.

Cysteine, cystine, and N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)
