Cornsilk - Zea Mays - Stigmata maidis

The fine, silky hair on the corn cob. Is beneficial to kidneys, bladder, and the small intestine. Also used for oedema, suffering in the urinary system, and bedwetting. Good for painful urination caused by enlargement of the prostate.

Cornsilk refers to the stigmas from the female flowers of maize. They contain e.g. oil, chlorophyl, cellulose, vitamin B, some silicon and lesser amounts of iron, zinc, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous.

Good for acute and chronic cystitis.
