Echinacea purpurea & -augustifolia

Also called Coneflower. Stimulates the immune system, is anti-inflammatory, blood purifying, and antiseptic. Used against bacterial and viral infections, colds, flu, snake bites, wounds, ulcers, and colic.

There are several kinds of Echinacea, e.g. Echinecea purpurea (Purple Coneflower) and Echinacea angustifolia (Narrow leaf Echinacea).
Echinacea comes in many different variants: Freeze-dried, in an alcohol extract, as a tea, in capsules, tablets, tincture, as an extract, a lotion, and an ointment. Alcohol breaks down some parts of the effective components in the plant, and therefore we recommend the freeze-dried or the non-alcoholic extract.
