Lemon balm has been used as anything from a treatment of herpes to a mosquito repellent and a rheumatic treatment.
The herb is often used together with nerve-inhibiting substances such as valerian and hops as a kind of green sleeping pill or a relaxing pill. Works like an antihistamine.
