Peptic ulcers, too much gastric acid, stomach catarrh, heartburn, nausea, diarrhoea - especially in children. Effective against rheumatoid pain. Nocturnal coughing in patients with asthma. The tannins has a contracting effect on the mucous membranes of the stomach and reduces the effect of gastric acid on the stomach.
Precautions
Do not use herbal medicine if you suspect that your symptoms should be clarified by a doctor. If your symptoms have not improved within one month, you should contact a phytotherapist or naturopath.
Contraindications
Must not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are allergic to salicylic acid (e.g. in green apples and aspirin), you should not use Filipendula ulmaria.
Side effects
No known side effects at recommended dosage.
Dosage
3 ml. or one tbsp. daily. Take it with some water. The herbs are strong - rinse with your favourite drink.
Further fortification
Against general digestional problems like constipation: Use Cassia Complex. If you have problems with too much gastric acid, you can relieve your stomach with buckwheat porridge, bananas, or natural yoghurt. Against diarrhoea: Althea Complex.
