An extract or decoction of Mountain tobacco can be used as a compress on slowly healing wounds, scratches and sprains, muscle pain, and rheumatism.
Also used for indigestion, muscle cramps, atherosclerosis, and phlebitis.
Stimulates circulation and respiration.
Use as a gargle for gingivitis, vocal cord problems, or infections in the mouth or throat.
The herb including the root is used internally as an alcohol extract or decoction: 1 tbsp. for 1/4 liter of boiling water. Must draw for 5 minutes. Drink 1 cup daily gulp by gulp after it has cooled down.
As a gargle: 10-20 drops in a glass of water.
