The herbs can easily be used simultaneously with hormone pills or for step-down treatment of hormone pills, if desired.

In Japan menopausal problems are unknown since soy is a part of their everyday food. Soy contains natural oestrogen or rather oestrogen-like substances which help alleviate menopausal symptoms - hot flashes in particular.
After the menopause women's risk of cardiovascular disease is the same as that for men, and soy may prevent that. The American Food and Drug Administration, FDA, now recognize that soy reduces the risk of heart disease. The FDA has researched 50 independent trials of soy's effect on the cholesterol level. The conclusion is that people with a heightened level of cholesterol experienced a substantial decrease in LDL blood cholesterol when they substituted soy proteins for animal products.
If you have great trouble with mood swings or depression it would be a good idea to supplement with Hypericum Complex.
If you have many hot flashes you might benefit from Salvia officinalis as a single herb, 5 ml. daily or drink it as a tea, minimum 3 cups daily.
The fat balance is very important to a well-functioning hormone system. Therefore, one should take EPA with Peony complex for at least three months.
Contents pr. 100 ml.
Peony (Paeonia lactiflora): 35 ml.
Black snake root (Cimicifuga racemosa): 10 ml.
St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum): 30 ml.
A further 25 ml. of glycerol has been added to enhance the flavour.
