Proanthocyanides are therapeutically used in the treatment of vascular disease and damage cause by free radicals. Proanthocyanides strengthen blood vessels, including the eyes’ capillaries (fine blood vessels), and inhibits the breakdown of the eyes retina.
Proanthocyanides are also believed to have a role in the prevention of cancer.
Proanthocyanides are found in nature chiefly in fruit, berries, cocoa beans, and pine bark. Proanthocyanides work well with vitamin C.
