Rutin was earlier called vitamin P. It can be found naturally in e.g. (Eucalyptus globulus), Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum), and in the medicinal plant of Rue (Ruta graveolens), from which the name is formed.
Rutin has anti-oxidant abilities. It strengthens the blood vessel walls and in this way counteracts the formation of oedema. Rutin can be used for any kind of bleeding or broken blood vessels, such as prolonged and violent menstruation, bleeding inside the eye, bruises, varicose veins, and sports injuries.
