The herb has a relaxing, calming, and nerve strengthening effect. Its content of bitter substances promotes digestion. It also increases the blood supply to the brain.
The herb is most often used in combination with other herbs.
Side effects
Scutellaria lateriflora has no known side effects, but overdosing can cause dizziness and palpitations.
